To join or not to join. That is always my question.
Like Nikki, I'm a lurker. I comment occasionally, but mostly I read and absorb. But in order to fully enjoy this experience we call blogging, I've learned that I have to put myself out there a bit more and join in. Comment. Ask questions. Listen. Be me.
It's tough, because I'm an introvert. It's easy to stay pretty quiet most of the time in real life. In the blogosphere it's even easier! That's why lurking is so appealing to me.
But now, I know the Lord is actually nudging me (has been since I re-started my blog) to join...to join in the conversations on twitter. To join in by commenting on a few more 5-minute posts. To join...to become part of this community...

If you aren't already checking it out, you should head on over to Gypsy Mama's 5-Minute Friday...Today...Now even...
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..
OK, are you ready? Please give us your best five minutes on:::

Thank you for sharing Lori... I am a lurker but not because I am shy... Because I have very little confidence in what I say... THe Lord is working... keep posting you have so much to say to your audience!!
Glad you joined! I am a mix. I join in, but there are phases in my life, usually busier times, when I lurk. The person who linked between you and I was also new, but she doesn't have comments enabled on her blog, so I went back one more link to you. It's been awhile since I've participated, but I always enjoy when I do. Hope you enjoy it as well. :-)
I was a lurker for about 3 years before joining in! It's so much more fun to play along!!
I do too, am an introvert! the bloggosphere made it a little easier on me, though. I am more "out there" taking and being myself.
Nice to meet you from the 5MF. I have to say as soon as I began blogging about 5 years ago, I jumped right in. I work hard to build community with my readers and the bloggers I follow. Sometimes, I get overwhelmed, as my reader is always overflowing with posts. But, I love the sense of community, and being able to encourage others, especially young moms. My heart is overflowing!
Join us! We have cookies! lol
So glad you jumped over to my blog...I love yours and your bit about Csting Crowns...awesome show!
Oh gosh... I am such a lurker, too. I have so many blogs that I enjoy through my RSS reader on my iPad. I read them every night, just like I used to read a newspaper. But I almost never pop by and tell the blogger thanks. I really need to do that more. I love getting comments on my blog. You've given me a lot to think about and I thank you for that.
So glad you joined in...in this beautiful five minute friday community. I can relate to being a lurker, but have SO enjoyed the relationships I've formed as I took a risk and joined in! So nice to meet you, have a blessed week!

Some of my best friends are introverts---and are often "lurkers" both on-line and in real life situations. I, on the other hand, am a pretty extreme extrovert! I just love to meet new people and to jump into new situations...
Glad to see you are joining in. Like my friends and I, there is definitely a balance to be found in life---between the lurkers and the jumpers :-)
