Re-Inventing

July 1, 2011

Hi. Anyone remember me?

It’s been a looooooong time since I’ve even really thought about my 2 year old blog, much less posted anything. But honestly, a lot has been going on. We’ve had a couple medical diagnosis that have resulted in some significant changes in our lives as well as just dealing with everyday life with two teens in the house.

I am now in the process of re-inventing. Actually it’s a re-shaping and it’s going on in all areas of my life, from health & fitness to faith & family to what are the things that bring me joy? - and I decided I’d document it here – for me… and maybe I’d be blessed enough to enjoy a little fellowship along the way.

I like to look up the definitions of words and really get to know what they mean. A couple years ago, I named this little piece of the blogosphere “Enjoying The Process.” I took a look at what it really means –

Enjoy(ing)--- to have a good time; to have for one's use, benefit, or lot; to take pleasure or satisfaction in

Process--- something going on; a natural phenomenon marked by gradual changes that lead toward a particular result; continuing natural or biological activity or function (life)

Basically…to take pleasure in the everyday activities of life.

Think about that. Do you take pleasure in those everyday activities? I know I don’t always. But as I write here, I hope to train myself to find the enjoyment in those things.

You may be wondering why there are no post or label lists since the blog is technically 2 years old. I deleted them. All. Of. Them. I told you…I’m reshaping. I’m not interested anymore in what I had on the menu two years ago. Honestly…I struggle with what’s on the menu this week. (Don’t get me wrong…menus are fabulous, just not where I am focusing myself right now.) That’s not to say I won’t share recipes, because I will…but only ones that we think are really good…especially the GF ones.

What I’m really hoping to work on is taking photos. In fact, for quite some time, I’ve wanted to try a Project 365, but really didn’t think I had it in me would follow through on it. It’s ok, I know my limits. But, being halfway through the year and all, I thought I’d try my own little “Project 182.5” – get it? It’s still a photo a day. A challenge? Yes. Overwhelming? Somehow, not so much…we shall see.

So I hope you’ll join me on this journey. Please feel free to comment often…and I’ll try my best to do the same.

Blessings to you~

♥Lori

Well hello, stranger. :)

It's always good to re-evaluate and begin again if its needed. I printed my old homeschool blog and deleted it and then printed my last 2 years of 365 projects into book as well. Then did a major overhaul of my blog and deleted a bunch of posts I no longer care about. So, now i can focus on keeping my posts that way and not "wasting" time and space. ;)
